Notes:
- Trained in England for the ministry; immigrated June 12, 1630 to Plymouth Colony on the ship "Arabella" with Governor Winthrop. He first married Mary, daughter of Gov. Winthrop and they had five children. He became a lieutenant in 1631 and a freeman October 7, 1640. He married second, Mary Byley and had a further five children. Lastly, he married Elizabeth Smith and had his final 8 children. His last wife outlived him, and she resided afterwards with her son-in-law Moses Leavitt. She was living as of 1702 when no further mention is made of her.
