- Immigrated from London on the ship "Hercules" in 1634 from Southampton. He lived to great old age (over 80) after a full life where he served many public offices and was one of the original settlers of Hampton, NH.
- Research into the English origin of William Fifield led to the Fifields of Littleton, Hampton, New Hampshire. There is a John Fifield who mentioned a son William in his will and there is reason to believe this is the same William. Further research by Juliet Gayton, as reported by Peter Wells, reports that research in Littlton has turned up the fact that this John Fifield was actually adopted by a Richard Fifield, and that his birth name was John Davy.
