-Western PA tax records show William living there as early as 1784. Their farm on Dunkard Creek in Greene Co was called "Plum Tree".

Will of William Goddard:
In the name of God amen, I William Goddard of Wayne Township, Green Co, Pa.  A
farmer being in perfect health and of a sound mind and memory, thanks be given
unto God calling into mind the mortality of my body and knowing it is appointed
of all men to die, do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament, that is
to say principally and first of all, I give and recommend my soul into the hand
of Allmighty God that give it and my body I recommend to the earth to be buried
in a decent Christian burial at the descretion of my executors, nothing
doubting but at the general resurrection, I shall receive the same again by the
mighty power of God and as touching such worldly estate therewith it pleased
God to bless me in this life, I give, divise and dispose of in the following
manner and form --

First, I give and bequeath to my beloved wife, Elizabeth all my worldly estate
during her natural life and at her decease to be divided as follows --

Item-- I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Henry Kallins Goddard One
dollar currency money to be levy'd out of my estate one year and one day after
my and his Mother's decease to him, his heirs, and assigns forever.

Item-- I give and bequeath to my beloved son Francis Goddard one hundred sixty
acres of land lying and being on the upper end of the plantation, fifty acres
of which being in the State of Virginia, to him, his heirs, executors,
Administerators and assigns-- to have and hold forever.

Item-- I give and bequeath to my well beloved son William Goddard one year and
one day after the decease of his mother, one hundred dollars current money of
Pennsylvania, to him, his heirs and assigns forever.

Item-- I give and bequeath to my well beloved son Joshua Goddard one year and
one day after the decease of his mother one hundred sixty seven acres next
below that of Francis.  To him, his heirs, executors, administratiors and
assigns forever.

Item-- I give and bequeath to my well beloved daughter Elizabeth Burge fifty
dollars current money of Pennsylvania to be levy'd out of my estate one year
and one day after the decease of her mother, to her and her heirs and assigns
forever.

Item-- I give and bequeath to my beloved daughter Ann the sum of fifty dollars
current money of Pennsylvania to be levy'd out of my estate one year and one
day after the decease of her mother, to her and her heirs forever.

I likewise make, ordain, constitute and appoint sons Henry K and Francis
Goddard executors to execute this my last will and Testament and I do Hereby
utterly revoke all former testaments, wills, and legacies or executors by me
before in any wise named and bequeathed ratifying this my last will and
testament.  In witness where of I have herewith set my hand and seal this 20th
day of Oct. 1818
