In April, Alex began saying things that sort of sounded like words, like "dada" on April 8th !

• April 10:Alexander was Christened this morning at Asbury united Methodist Chuch by Minister John. Bill W, and Jessie were the godparents, and alex behaved through the whole ceremony (he actually seemed to like all the attention) He wore his mother's mother's father's Christening outfit which he wore in 1903. Alex's mother and aunt Jessie also wore the same outfit for their christenings. We had a reception at the house with hors d'oerves and sandwiches. Alex sat in the middle of the room most of the time laughing and smiling at everybody.
• April 22: Alex tried Squash for the first time
• April 26: Alex's first tooth started shining through today. The front right one isn't covered by any gum anymore.
• April 27: Alex recognizes his own name and turns when we call him.
• April 28: Alex tried a little bit of broccoli today, which he fed himself. He seemed to like that a lot.
