February 2005
In February, Alex kept growing and growing. Broke through the 20 pound
barrier and more by mid-month. His hair has darkened and filled in
considerably. Alex can sit up from time to time, and he is very
talkative, and very playful. He will play with his blocks very
attentively on his own for quite some time. He can find his pacifier on
the table, and
put it in himself. He began using his highchair both at home and in
restaraunts by mid-month, although wobbly a bit at first.
Around the 24th, Alex began to teeth very badly. Tylenol and
Baby Orajel seem to help a lot.
- Feb 1:
Alex sits up for the first time with his legs held down.
- Feb 5th: Alex
tries his first taste of something non-milk today when great-grandma slips
him a touch of whipped cream at Aunt Kristin's baby shower. Alex was a
hoot drinking water out of a glass and making a mess. Alex met
great-Aunt Gail and Uncle Bill for the first time, as well as
Great-great-Aunt Dorothy, cousins Gwen and Jayne
- Feb 7: Strolled
arond Philadelphia all day on Mommy's birthday. Alex was extremely well
behaved wandering through the city and the stores. He enjoyed watching
the people go by.
- Feb 8: Alex finally had enough of watching his
parents type, and decided that he wanted to use the keyboard
himself
- Feb 12: Visited the Stolarks in Virginia. Alex very much
enjoyes 'peek-a-boo'
- Feb 19: Alex went to the Church sale with Mommy
and Gayle. When he got home, he found his feet on his own, and began
playing with them
- Feb 20: Mom went to a knitting group meeting in
Philly for the whole afternoon, and Alex stayed home with Dad for the 4
hours mommy was gone. He had a very good time.
- Feb 26: Bill came down
to visit, and Alex was well behaved and very talkative at TGI Friday's.
Alex tried to play Rummy 500 and Texas Hold 'Em as well. Alex thought
Bill was very funny.
