-On a list of those rejected from service because he was missing his two front incisor teeth. This was likely because he would not be able to bite open the powder to load his gun.
-His baptism record is in the church baptism book in Tarsogno, Italy, it is in Latin and names his father "Aloysius filli Joseph" and mother "Elisabetta fillia Andrea Camisa"
-Is listed in the 1845 census for Tarsogno, Italy
-His marriage record in the church book in Bedonia lists that he was originally from Tarsogno, and lists his parents full maiden names. "Antonio filiam Aloysio et Eliz. Camisa in Tarsonei et Anna Maria Bernabo (qdm) filia Josephi et vivente Dominica Ferrrari, Bedonia"
- In the birth records of his children, his occupation is listed as "Spallone" which is a smuggler. From the word "spalla" or shoulder, for carrying the sack of contraband back to the town. Probably crossing the alps.
