-The probate record of Henry Bersch Sr. who died 1843 names Elizabeth as his widow and she is the executrix of the will. The 1840 Census lists Henry, Sr. as living in the same Southwark 4 district of Pennsylvania.

-Original Birth Register in Lutheran Church in Amsterdam lists parents as Christoph Bersch and Elizabeth Mingeln.
